2019年リリースの優れたゲームに贈られる賞“The Game Awards 2019（以下、ゲームアワーズ2019）”の授賞式が12月12日に米国･ロサンゼルスで開催され、もっとも評価されたタイトルに贈られる「Game of the year」に株式会社フロム･ソフトウェアの『SEKIRO:SHADOWS DIE TWICE』（PC/PS4/Xbox One）が選ばれていたことがわかりました。
『SEKIRO:SHADOWS DIE TWICE』は一般社団法人コンピュータエンターテインメント協会が主催する日本ゲーム大賞で優秀賞を受賞しています。
